September 1, 2020 By Minnesota News Network

Minnesota forward Napheesa Collier scored 25 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists as the Lynx ended the Los Angeles Sparks’ nine-game winning streak with a 96-78 victory on last night in Florida. Former Golden Gopher Rachel Banham made all six of her field-goal attempts and scored 18 points off the bench for Minnesota, which improved to 11-5 with the win. Rookie Crystal Dangerfield added 21 points and Damiris Dantas had 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists to help the cause. L-A dipped to 12-4 with the setback. The game was originally scheduled for last Wednesday, but was postponed because the W-N-B-A players decided not to play following the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Minnesota is back in action tomorrow night against Chicago.
