The Minnesota Lynx announced today that Jessica Shepard will represent Slovenia in the upcoming FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025. The games are set to take place from June 18-29 in Brno (CZE), Hamburg (GER), Piraeus (GRE) and Bologna (ITA).
Shepard and Slovenia will open Group B play on June 18 against Lithuania in Bologna. The teams in Group B include Slovenia, Lithuania, Italy and Serbia. The top two teams from each of the four groups (A, B, C, D) will advance to the Quarter-Finals. See below for the schedule of the games.
The FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025 features competition amongst Europe’s top 16 teams, with the gold-medal winners earning automatic qualification to FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026, which is slated for next Sept. 4-13 in Berlin. The teams finishing second through fifth will advance to the FIBA Women’s World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments next March.
