Lynx lose opener to Sparks

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  Los Angeles guard Chelsea Gray scored a buzzer-beating lay-up as the Sparks dropped the Minnesota Lynx in Minneapolis last night, 77-76.  In a rematch of the past two W-N-B-A Finals, the Sparks needed a last-second shot to get the win.  L-A was playing without star player Candace Parker.  Minnesota’s Lindsey Whalen scored a team-high 17 points and Sylvia Fowles added 15 points and 12 rebounds.  The Lynx host the Dallas Wings on Wednesday.
