The man accused of kidnapping 13-year-old Jayme Closs and killing her parents is due in a Barron County Wisconsin court this afternoon. 21-year-old Jake Patterson, is charged with two counts of intentional homicide and a count of kidnapping and armed burglary. Since his arrest in January, Patterson has communicated with TV journalists at least twice. In February, he sent a letter to a journalist for KARE-TV, reportedly expressing his remorse and saying he plans to plead guilty to murder and kidnapping charges in his court appearance. He also called a reporter with WCCO earlier this month, telling her that he has regrets about what happened. It’s unclear however what exactly Patterson will do in court this afternoon.
