Man shooting knife-wielding man in dispute after traffic crash in Fridley

February 15, 2018 By Bill Werner

Police in the Minneapolis suburb of Fridley are investigating after a man shot another man during a dispute following a traffic crash Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say multiple callers reported one man involved in the crash was attempting to assault one of the other drivers with a knife. While officers were en-route, witnesses reported another motorist, not involved in the crash, stopped to intervene and fired shots at the man with the knife, striking him multiple times. That man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Officials say the man who fired the handgun remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
