Officials “Make like Mary” at this morning’s re-unveiling

The famous statue of Mary Tyler Moore tossing her hat in the air has moved from 7th and Nicollet in downtown Minneapolis, to 5th and Nicollet as reconstruction of the Mall continues.  Officials did a “re-unveiling” this morning at the Minneapolis Visitor Information Center, across the street from the light rail station.  Kristen Montag says they definitely heard from people who asked, where is the statute?  It’s now inside and, after hours, visitors can still see it through big glass windows.  It’s expected M-T-M’s likeness will move back to 7th and Nicollet when reconstruction of the Mall is complete.
