(Minneapolis, MN) — City and community leaders in north Minneapolis are calling for an end to the Black Lives matter encampment outside the police department’s fourth precinct, following the shooting death of Jamar Clark. Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges says the occupation is unsafe and has had a negative impact on neighbors in the community. Hodges says there’s no deadline yet for when protesters must leave the area. Black Lives Matter organizers have yet to respond to the request.
