The group Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life is endorsing Republican Brad Finstad in the August 9th special election for the First District U-S House seat formerly held by the late Congressman Jim Hagedorn. M-C-C-L’s Paul Stark says while Finstad was in the Minnesota House “he cast 63 different pro-life votes. That’s a perfect, 100-percent pro-life voting record. And he didn’t just vote pro-life. He also took a leadership role in working to advance pro-life legislation.”
Finstad’s Democratic opponent Jeff Ettinger told WXOW-TV in La Crosse that he fears the potential overturning of Roe -v- Wade, the 1973 U-S Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, will result in prosecution of women and doctors. Ettinger said “we should not be making criminals out of women or their doctors for their private decisions.”
