A Wisconsin resident has been confirmed to have the coronavirus. No cases have been confirmed in Minnesota, but local health officials are monitoring the situation closely. Kris Ehresmann with the state Health Department says precautions are being taken to ensure safety wherever possible and “we’re working hard here at the health department to make sure that we’re as prepared as possible for responding to a case in Minnesota and minimizing the risk of spread.” Ehresmann says “everyday we get a number of calls from healthcare providers which is absolutely what we want with patients who may be presenting with upper respiratory symptoms and have travel history, so we’re working with them to evaluate those situations.” So far, at least 12 cases of the virus have been confirmed in the U-S. At least three potential cases in Minnesota have turned up negative. Here’s more with Kris Ehresmann:
