A two-day seminar on western Lake Superior streams is under way (Wed,Thurs) at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Doctor Valerie Brady with the Natural Resources Research Institute says climate change will have an effect. Brady notes anglers are complaining about temperature and lack of flow in trout streams, and the state Pollution Control Agency has put a number of streams on the impairment list due to cloudiness and muddiness of the water. Scientists, state officials and tribal leaders are discussing strategies for the future.
