Metro Transit says beginning September 12th it will increase service on some routes that were cut back due to the COVID pandemic. Officials say many local routes and the A and C rapid bus lines will have “about as much” service as before the pandemic, and Green and Blue Line light rail will again have trains every 10 minutes “throughout most of the day.” But because of a significant drop in demand, about 50 express bus routes will remain suspended and Northstar Commuter Rail will have a limited, weekday-only schedule.
