The criminal complaint alleges that Gutierrez shot Orneals in the back of the head during a dispute over a parking space. The shooting happened while Orneals and the suspect’s brother, Jose Gutierrez Ojeda, were fighting. Both brothers have claimed self-defense for their roles in the shooting.

(Winona, MN) — A hiker is recovering after falling in Sugar Loaf Park in Winona. First responders were called to the park Sunday afternoon after the fall from the 85-foot-tall rock was reported. The hiker was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The Winona Fire Department did not say what may have caused the fall.

(Preston, MN) — A woman arrested on multiple charges in Fillmore County after a crash involving an Amish buggy is due in court for a hearing today. 32-year-old Brittany Edgar of Spring Valley faces six charges, including criminal operation of a vehicle, leaving the scene of a collision, and giving false information to an officer. During a traffic stop in February, Edgar told a Fillmore County deputy that she hit a deer, causing extensive damage to her vehicle. Investigators would later charge Edgar with running into a horse-drawn buggy, causing a crash that injured several people.

(Moorhead, MN) — Moorhead Police are investigating after finding the body of a missing Moorhead woman in a park Saturday. 38-year-old Angela Hart was reported missing Friday. Around 8 p.m. Saturday, police reported the discovery of a body in a tall grassy area of Horn Park with no initial signs of trauma. Hart’s body will be taken to Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
