State Patrol reports around 10:40 a.m., 58-year-old Campbell Blair of Hastings crossed over the center skip stripe on Highway 95 and collided head-on with an SUV. (Fergus Falls, MN) — Authorities in west central Minnesota say what was thought to be human remains in the Otter Tail River turned out to be Halloween decorations. Otter Tail County sheriff’s deputies were called Wednesday evening about possible human remains in the river west of Fergus Falls. Investigators recovered the remains and determined they were Halloween decorations that had been in the water for a long time.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Three people suffered gunshot wounds in Dinkytown this morning (FRI). Minneapolis Police responded to the shooting around 2:15 outside two restaurants near the University of Minnesota. No arrests have been made. (Lakeville, MN) — A 330-thousand-dollar federal grant will help a southern Minnesota truck stop expand its biofuels offering. Congresswoman Angie Craig’s office says Mega Stop of Lakeville will install seven B-20 dispensers at one of its fueling stations. The new pumps are expected to increase the amount of biodiesel sold by 273 thousand gallons a year. Craig says bolstering domestic biofuel production supports Minnesota’s family farmers and lowers prices at the pump.
