>>Mall of America Sets Black Friday Record

(Bloomington, MN)  —  More than 235,000 people visited the Mall of America on Black Friday, making it the busiest day after Thanksgiving on record at M-O-A.  During the busy shopping period of Wednesday November 26th through Sunday November 30th, the mall says more than 500,000 shoppers visited the holiday destination.  The numbers show shopping traffic increased 8.5 percent on Black Friday compared to last year and was up nearly 2 percent from the previous record in 2019.   The average shopper stayed nearly three hours per visit.

>>Minnesota Wheat Growers President Pushes for 2026 Farm Bill

(Fertile, MN) — The president of the Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers hopes Congress prioritizes a farm bill early in 2026.   Kevin Leiser of Fertile says the biggest thing is if you get it done, then farmers have some certainty about how those programs are going work.   He argues uncertainty is worse than knowing what is going on.    Leiser also says there needs to be an adequate safety net for growers dealing with low commodity prices and high input costs.

 

>>Police Investigate Mass Shooting in St. Paul

(St. Paul, MN) — St. Paul Police are investigating a mass shooting that left four men injured Monday afternoon.  Officers responded around 4:30 pm to reports of gunfire. Two victims were found in an intersection, and two others behind a nearby home.  All injuries appear non-life-threatening.  Police say K-9 and drone teams are searching for evidence and additional victims.  No arrests have been made.

 

>>Paynesville Man Run Over by Farm Tractor, Seriously Injured

(Minneapolis, MN) — A Paynesville man is hospitalized with serious injuries suffered in a farm tractor accident Sunday night.   Stearns County sheriff’s deputies say Jerrod Quade was showing a neighbor how to start the tractor when it started and the tire dragged him to the ground and drove over him.  Quade was taken to the Paynesville Hospital and later airlifted to Hennepin Healthcare with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

 

>>Both Drivers Hurt in Pickup vs. Skid Loader Crash in Murray County

(Slayton, MN) —  Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries when a pickup and skid loader collided near Slayton in Murray County.   The Minnesota State Patrol says both vehicles were on Highway 267 Monday night when they made contact.  The report says 84-year-old Lloyd Hindt of Iona and 24-year-old Jake Bleyenberg of Balaton were taken to the emergency room in Slayton.   Troopers say alcohol may have been a factor.

 

>>Timberwolves Play First of Two Games in New Orleans

(New Orleans, LA) — The Minnesota Timberwolves shoot for their third straight victory when they play the Pelicans tonight (Tues 7pm) in New Orleans.   The Wolves rallied past the Spurs 125-112 Sunday night at Target Center.    Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 32 points.  New Orleans has lost three in row.    The Wolves and Pelicans play the second game of a two-game set Thursday night at Smoothing King Center.
