Little says in a campaign release that he’s running for “every underdog out there, for every person working their tail off, chasing the American dream.” Little served as mayor of Lakeville for two terms before being elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016.

The legislation has successfully passed through the U.S. House and has garnered bipartisan support in the Senate, including from Minnesota Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith. If approved, the bill would award three Congressional Gold Medals to the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team that defeated the Soviet Union to win gold during the 1980 Winter Olympics.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Police are investigating a shooting in south Minneapolis late Tuesday night that left three people dead and two injured. Officers responding to shots fired calls found one man on a sidewalk and discovered two men and a woman inside a vehicle, all with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Paramedics treated all five, but the man on the sidewalk and a man and woman from the car died at the scene. The other two victims were taken to H-C-M-C for treatment. Investigators say preliminary information indicates it was a targeted or gang-related shooting.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Over 20 Minnesota FFA students pledged to become ag teachers during the Minnesota FFA Convention on Tuesday. Twenty-two Minnesota FFA members signed with nine universities and technical colleges during a ceremony to demonstrate the students’ intention to join the ranks of teachers who have instructed, coached, and mentored them. One of them is Glencoe-Silver Lake FFA Chapter vice president Emma Salisbury, who says FFA has given her a clear career path.
