(Minneapolis, MN) — The man accused of firebombing a Minneapolis ice cream shop because of its Pride flag is facing federal prison time. A federal jury convicted 31-year-old Firomsa Ahmed Umar on arson, attempted arson, and possession of an unregistered device charges on Wednesday. Evidence showed that Umar twice threw homemade destructive devices at Fletcher’s Ice Cream and Café on October 19th and October 20th, 2025. Police said he threw glass bottles filled with gasoline, and one contained a mixture known as “improvised napalm.” His sentencing hearing hasn’t been scheduled.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins topped the Detroit Tigers 8-6 at Target Field last night for their first series win of the season. The 6-6 Twins scored six runs off Tigers starter Framber Valdez in the first inning. Minnesota’s Bailey Ober pitched five-and-two-thirds innings and allowed two runs for his first victory. Byron Buxton had three hits, and Royce Lewis drove in a pair of runs. The Twins go for a four-game sweep of the 4-8 Tigers this afternoon (Thurs 12:40pm) in downtown Minneapolis.

(St. Paul, MN) — Lady Gaga is playing back-to-back shows tonight and tomorrow night (Thurs &Fri) at Grand Casino Arena. This will be her seventh and eighth concerts at the venue in St. Paul. Lady Gaga cancelled her show Monday night in Montreal due to a respiratory infection, but is still scheduled to perform in Minnesota. There are some tickets available for the local stops on her Mayhem Ball tour.
