>>MN State Trooper Londregan Back On the Job After Charges Dropped
(Undated) — The Minnesota State Patrol has confirmed trooper Ryan Londregan, previously charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Ricky Cobb the II, will be back on the job. Cobb was shot and killed on I-94 on June 31st, 2023 after troopers pulled him over, and he began to drive away. Londregan was cleared of his charges this June and is once again eligible for patrol. Officials say he’ll be stationed in the West Metro District in Golden Valley after completing additional training.
>>The Dam Store is On the Move to Reopen in Mankato
(Mankato, MN) — After being demolished by flooding that caused a southern Minnesota dam to fail, the Rapidan Dam Store is on the move to reopen. The store, originally right next to the Rapidan Dam, was bought by Blue Earth County in June to be demolished so it didn’t fall into the Blue Earth River. The Mankato City Council signed off Monday to move the Dam Store into a building formerly known as the Wagon Wheel Cafe. It’s unknown when the store will reopen.

(St. Paul, MN) — Some eagle-eyed Minnesotans may soon notice a difference in the State Patrol’s logo. The agency is debuting a new logo design this week. The old logo featured the version of the Minnesota state seal that was retired earlier this year. The new logo features the Mississippi River surrounded by Norway Pines under the North Star. Officials estimate that replacing the current logo on all uniforms and equipment will take six to nine months and cost four million dollars.

(Faribault, MN) — A 27-year-old man is in custody after a domestic standoff incident in Faribault Monday. Police responded to a Faribault home around 9:50 a.m. on a report of a domestic incident involving an armed man threatening a woman. Officials say the woman escaped the home with her children while the suspect remained inside. A perimeter was set up outside the home, and the South Metro SWAT team was called in after multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact the suspect. The man surrendered around 11:50 a.m. without incident. Formal charges are pending.

(Spring Grove, MN) — A Spring Grove daycare has closed suddenly, leaving over 60 children without childcare and employees stranded. The Little Gnome Childcare and Preschool Center had a capacity of 90 children, something former Director Breanna McBride says can’t be replicated by the town’s in-home daycares. Owner of The Little Gnome Quentin Thorson states, “We hope that the community and region can come together to address childcare needs and find sustainable solutions.”

(Eden Prairie, MN) — A Dallas man is accused of putting a hidden camera in a men’s locker room at Lifetime Fitness in Eden Prairie. Michael Howard is charged with two counts of interfering with privacy against a minor. Authorities accuse the 50-year-old defendant of taking photos and videos, mostly of underage boys. Howard is still not in custody.
