>>Savage Couple Sentenced To Four Years In Prison For Abducting Their Infant

(Shakopee, MN) — A Savage couple is going to prison for kidnapping their infant. Zacharia Whitehead and Amanda Wamack were sentenced to four years behind bars in Scott County Court. Prosecutors say the abduction happened after the defendants brought their baby to a hospital with a broken arm. County officials placed the child in the custody of their grandmother before Whitehead and Wamack kidnapped the baby. The defendants also must register as predatory offenders.

(Rochester, MN) — A Rochester man with a history of drug offenses is in prison on three new convictions. 29-year-old Jacob Danielson was arrested during Labor Day weekend 2023 and charged with first-, second-, and third-degree drug sales and first- and second-degree drug possession. Danielson was arrested after police found a man slumped over in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. A search of the car and Danielson turned up nearly 875 fentanyl pills with some prescription medications. Danielson was also charged with two counts each of illegal possession of a firearm and felony drug possession after being caught with an AR-15 rifle and several oxycodone pills in 2020. All three cases were consolidated, and Danielson was sentenced to seven years in prison.

 

>>Fargo Man Faces Felony Assault Charges Against Police 

(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo man faces felony assault charges after allegedly fighting with officers in a library. Police responded to a downtown Fargo library on the report that 35-year-old Kevin Wright urinated in the elevator. As officers tried to arrest Wright for trespassing, he hit and kicked them. Wright was eventually arrested. He has outstanding warrants for forgery in both Morton and Burleigh counties.

(Northfield) – Experts at St. Olaf College are offering some advice on budgeting for inflation. Professor of Economics Marcus Bansah says, “If you’re on a tight budget, it means that this is the time for you to start putting some funds outside preparing for that. If you put funds aside, thinking that prices will go up, and if they end up not going up, you’re in a better position.” Bansah says people may also have to explore avenues for generating additional income to give themselves more financial cushion.

There are trained professionals on the other end of that conversation.” Mische says missing loved ones and stewing about past events can contribute to the holiday blues.

(Minneapolis) – The Holidazzle celebration in Downtown Minneapolis kicks off today with its first five days of fun. Today’s first day of the celebration along the Nicollet Mall includes performances by the Armstrong High School Choir, singers from the Minnesota Chorale, and a dog rescue showcase with the Carver Scott Humane Society. There will also be visits with Santa, shopping at the Dayton’s Project, and the famous 17-foot Yeti returns with a background of holiday lights. Holidazzle continues through Sunday, December 22nd.
