Authorities say Logan Moyer, a 2024 Stewartville graduate, shot and injured a high school student before taking his own life at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released.

(Mankato, MN) — There’s a celebration of life this weekend for the Rapidan Dam Store owner Jim Hruska in Mankato. Hruska died Monday in the hospital at age 86. The visitation is Friday (4-7 pm) at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, and Hruska’s funeral is Saturday at 2:30 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The Dam Store was demolished following the failure of the nearby Rapidan Dam in June 2024. Those attending the services are welcome to wear Dam Store clothing in Jim’s honor. His son and daughter now run the legendary restaurant at a temporary location in Mankato.
