(New York, NY) — New York City Mayor Eric Adams is telling reporters he expects an arrest soon in the deadly shooting of UnitedHealthcare C-E-O Brian Thompson. Adams says investigators are moving at a good pace and are close to identifying the suspect. N-Y-P-D released more surveillance photos showing the shooter’s face this morning. Detectives reportedly seek a search warrant for where they believe the man has been staying in New York City. Some of the bullet casings used to kill Thompson had the words “deny,” depose,” and “defend” on them.

(Champlin, MN) — Goaltender Max Akerson (ACK’-er-son) will be remembered at tonight’s (Thurs) Champlin Park vs. Andover boys high school hockey game at the Ice Forum. Sixteen-year-old Akerson died last week following a battle with liver cancer. Everybody is encouraged to wear orange to the game to honor Max. The Ice Forum is expected to be at max capacity, and the game will be live-streamed at Champlin restaurants and establishments. Champlin Athletic made hundreds of orange t-shirts with his number 35 and Play for Max.

(Cannon Falls, MN) — The search for a missing man in Goodhue County could resume today if the weather cooperates. Searchers began looking for the unidentified man after he was reported missing in Cannon Falls on Monday. When he disappeared, he was walking his dog in a wooded area, and police feared he may have fallen into the Cannon River. The search was suspended yesterday due to the weather, and investigators are asking local residents to check their sheds and outbuildings for signs the man may have taken shelter. They also ask hunters to check trail cameras for signs of the missing man.

(Duluth, MN) — The Duluth Police Department says 60-year-old Steven Hoover is the bicyclist who was struck and killed by two vehicles early Wednesday evening. Officers say Hoover went through a crosswalk without checking for traffic before he was hit. He died in hospital. The report says the two drivers showed no signs of impairment.

(Lewiston, MN) — A Winona man is dead after a single-vehicle rollover crash on Wednesday. Winona County deputies responded to the scene around 11 a.m., three miles south of Lewiston. Investigators say the driver, 71-year-old Allyn Ellinghuysen, was heading north when he drifted across the centerline, entered a ditch, and rolled. Ellinghuysen was ejected from the car during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say weather was not a factor.
