(Altoona, PA) — A man is reportedly being questioned in Pennsylvania in connection with the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare C-E-O Brian Thompson of Maple Grove, Minnesota. N-B-C News says the man was detained over a gun similar to the one used to kill Thompson in New York City. The N-Y-P-D has released several photos of the gunman with and without a mask. Detectives said the suspect left New York City, and some officers traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to look for him over the weekend.

(Ottertail, MN) — A Fergus Falls business owner is dead after a head-on crash near Ottertail on Friday afternoon. The State Patrol says 27-year-old McKayla Schicker was killed when her SUV crashed into a boom truck on Highway 78. Schicker was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the boom truck, 23-year-old Henry Gibbs of Battle Lake, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Schicker was a single mother who owned Bev’s Donuts in Battle Lake and had just purchased Bev’s Bakehouse in Wadena. A GoFundMe account has been set up for her five kids.

(Duluth, MN) — Areas in far northern and northeastern Minnesota are digging out from heavy snowfall. The National Weather Service reports Silver Bay along the North Shore received 8.8 inches; Grand Marais and Lutsen got 8; around 7 inches fell in Finland and Two Harbors; and International Falls, Hibbing, and Tower have about 5 inches. Just over 3 inches of fresh snow northwest of Duluth in St. Louis County. Some areas received a rain-snow mix, creating difficult travel conditions today.

Heritage Auctions in Dallas says it’s the most valuable movie memorabilia ever sold at auction. That was not the only Wizard of Oz memorabilia sold over the weekend. The black hat worn by the Wicked Witch went for two million dollars.

(St. Cloud, MN) — Over 600 middle and high school students across Minnesota are in St. Cloud today and tomorrow for the FFA State Leadership Conference at St. Cloud State University. Career and Alumni Coordinator Natasha Mortensen says the organization is the largest youth organization in Minnesota and is still growing. During their time at SCSU, the conference attendees will learn about the school’s biology department and visit the planetarium. They’ll also go to St. Cloud Technical and Community College, where they can operate a robot, experiment with virtual simulators, and test a 3D scanner. The FFA’s longstanding tradition of wearing blue corduroy jackets still exists, so you may spot several of the students around town.
