(Minneapolis, MN) – An Illinois man is accused of planning to kill federal agents in Minneapolis. Sixty-seven-year-old Jeffery Mullinix from Troy, Illinois, was arrested for threats he made online last month. He allegedly posted a comment on a YouTube video stating he wanted to take his two guns, go to Minneapolis, and kill ICE officers. Police in Troy followed up and seized two rifles from Mullinix.

(Undated) – Around 700 ICE and Border Patrol agents are leaving Minnesota effective immediately. White House Border Czar Tom Homan announced the drawdown today, citing increased coordination with local law enforcement. He says his goal, with support from President Donald Trump, “is to achieve a complete drawdown and end this surge as soon as we can.” Homan says this is “largely contingent upon the end of illegal and threatening activities against ICE in the community.” Homan said he contacted Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara about protesters putting up roadblocks, and they were dismantled right away.

(Minneapolis, MN) – The Minnesota Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) says the announcement by federal immigration officials to reduce the number of agents in Minneapolis is a direct result of sustained public resistance and renewed community organizing against unconstitutional enforcement practices. Earlier this morning, Border Czar Tom Homan said around 700 federal agents would be leaving the Twin Cities. CAIR-MN says this reduction still does not address the broader crisis, including allegations of unlawful arrests of protesters, aggressive intimidation tactics, and the lack of transparency surrounding the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

Brenda Lewis, Superintendent of Fridley Public Schools, says she’s tired of seeing federal agents on their school grounds, and is “asking urgently for action…Our children deserve to feel safe when they come to school.” Lewis is one of the educators invited by Governor Walz on Tuesday to speak at the Capitol. Walz is demanding that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem release information on the Minnesota children being held in federal detention.
