>>Craig Introduces Legislation to Strengthen Medication Supplies
(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Representative Angie Craig has joined a group of lawmakers to re-introduce a bill to strengthen domestic medication supply chains and reduce our dependence on China for critical medications. The RAPID (Rolling Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient and Drug Reserve) Act would give incentives to American producers to increase manufacturing and reduce supply chain challenges. Craig says right now, 80 percent of manufacturing facilities producing these medicines are outside the U.S. The bill was also introduced in the Senate.
>>Two Campers Found Dead on Lake Superior Island Identified
(Isle Royale, MI) — The National Park Service has identified the two hikers found dead at Isle Royale National Park on Lake Superior, but isn’t releasing the information. Two campers were found dead on Sunday on the remote island, which is about twenty miles east of Grand Portage, Minnesota. Rangers hiked eleven miles to respond to the reports, and a fixed-wing helicopter was used to help with transportation. Officials say the next of kin have been notified. The cause of death is also still unknown.
>>3 St. Paul Police Officers Injured, Hit by Motorist
(St. Paul, MN) — Pending aggravated assault, fleeing police, and criminal vehicular operation charges for a man after allegedly injuring three St. Paul police officers on Thursday. Police say the officers were hit by a car around 11:40 p.m. in St. Paul after a vehicle they stopped for traffic violations fled. A pursuit began, but the driver stopped and fled his vehicle on foot. Police say the suspect was found shortly after and arrested without incident. The officers were treated for their injuries and released from Regions Hospital. The suspect is in Ramsey County Jail.
>>Damages Unknown in Duluth Energy Center Fire
(Duluth, MN) — Damage to a Duluth energy center is still being assessed after a fire began on Thursday. Fire crews responded to the Minnesota Power Hibbard Renewable Energy Center around 2:49 p.m. They learned that wood inside the twenty-thousand-square-foot storage structure had ignited. Officials say two out of five ladder companies remain fighting the fire. No injuries were reported, and no power generation was impacted.

(Houston) – After a rough series against the Rangers, the Twins are heading to Texas for a weekend series in Houston. The Twins lost two of three games to the Rangers, giving up 16 runs each in the two losses. The Twins head into the series with the Astros still holding second place in the American League Central, but eight games behind the first-place Detroit Tigers.
