(Cambridge, MN) — Cambridge Police are searching for a missing woman. 54-year-old Relasha Waldo was last seen at a motel in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, on February 22nd. A friend says Relasha was upset and crying, saying February was hard for her. The two were supposed to meet at a Mexican restaurant in Chisago County, but Relasha didn’t show. Relasha is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She may be driving a 2019 white Mitsubishi Mirage with Texas license plate MHX7086. Authorities spoke with Relasha over the phone last March 5th, but she refused to say where she was and hung up.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Minneapolis police are investigating five robberies that took place in 15 minutes. Officers responded around 3 a.m. Sunday and activated its Robbery Pattern Response Protocol. Police say all the robberies were at gunpoint, and there are thought to be three to four suspects involved. Only one robbery resulted in injury, a non-life-threatening assault. Something was stolen in four robberies; the fifth remains unknown. Police ask anyone with information to contact authorities. No arrests have been made.

 

>>Prosecutors Ask Former Sen. Eichorn to Remain in Custody After Lie

(Undated) – Federal prosecutors want to reopen the detention hearing for former Senator Justin Eichorn of Grand Rapids due to new information in the case. The motion filed Sunday calls for Eichorn to remain in custody until his trial and not be released to a halfway house Tuesday. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Eichorn lied about having a gun in his St. Paul apartment, arranged for a woman to remove a laptop from the apartment, and had an iPhone in ‘factory reset’ condition, suggesting someone attempted to wipe data from it. Court documents say the FBI found the gun, ammunition, and cell phone in a red bag during a search on Friday, and agents blocked the woman from taking the laptop. Eichorn resigned from the Minnesota Senate Thursday after being charged with soliciting underage prostitution.

(Nisswa, MN) — Former Minnesota Republican Party chair Jennifer Carnahan is running for the seat of ex-state Senator Justin Eichorn of Grand Rapids. Carnahan says in a statement that she wasn’t planning to run but was encouraged and asked by many to run “because the people in our area are tired of the same career politicians who come out of the woodwork and make big promises but then forget about us.” Carnahan stepped down as GOP chair in 2021 following allegations of a toxic work environment and her ties to Republican donor Tony Lazzaro, who was convicted of sex trafficking minors. She was elected mayor of Nisswa in November. Governor Walz is expected to schedule a special election Tuesday for Senate District 6.

(St. Paul, MN) – A group of bipartisan lawmakers is urging Governor Walz to avoid making cuts to long-term care for seniors in his proposed budget. Republican Representative Joe Schomacker from Luverne says the cuts Walz is proposing in his budget and the nursing home workforce standards board proposals will “close down facilities without a check from the legislature.” Advocates say by 2030, there’s a 70 percent chance that seniors in the state will need some form of long-term care.

 

>>Shed Complete Loss After Possible Brush Fire 

(Meeker County, MN) — A shed in Meeker County is a complete loss after a fire on Sunday. Deputies responded to the fire around 3:41 p.m. in Greenleaf Township. A shed containing hay bales was fully engulfed. The fire was believed to have started as a brush fire. No one was injured.
