Lenius fatally shot 22-year-old Shellby Trettel and 35-year-old Patrick Roers on January 9th at the Super 8 hotel before taking his own life in his vehicle in the hotel’s parking lot. An investigation of his phone records shows Lenius did not know the victims and may have been dealing with mental health issues.
