The incident was reported to Scott County Child Protection, and the child was put into its grandmother’s care pending investigation. Wamack and Whitehead had taken the child back last Monday, stating a disagreement with the law and the grandmother rescinding her rights.

(Hopkins, MN) — A St. Louis Park man is dead after a pedestrian vs. vehicle crash in Hopkins on Saturday. State Patrol responded to the scene around 9:25 p.m. on Highway 7. Troopers say a 23-year-old woman heading east fatally hit a pedestrian. The man’s name is to be released today (MON).

(Austin, MN) — Drivers taking Interstate 90 through Austin should prepare for a detour this weekend. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the demolition of the Fourth Street Northwest bridge requires moving traffic off the interstate. The detour will begin Friday and should be lifted on Monday morning. Some ramp closures will also occur before the bridge demolition begins on Friday.

(St. Louis Park, MN)—Gas prices continue to drop in Minnesota. The average price for unleaded fuel is $2.95 a gallon, a drop of 3 cents since last week and 19 cents a month ago. The average price in the Twin Cities is slightly higher, at $2.98 a gallon. Gas prices are cheaper in Wisconsin, where the state average is $2.82 per gallon for unleaded fuel.
