(Osakis, MN) — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying anyone who may have been hunting on the north side of Interstate 94 near Osakis on Friday, after a stray bullet struck a passing vehicle. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. as the vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-94. According to investigators, the bullet pierced the rear driver-side door and entered the passenger compartment, causing minor injuries to one of the occupants. The DNR is assisting in the investigation.

(St. Paul, MN) – DFL State Representative Sandra Feist of New Brighton is the latest lawmaker to announce her retirement when her term ends in 2026. Feist has been a member of the Minnesota House for three terms. Feist says she is proud of her ability to encourage bipartisanship among colleagues and of co-chairing the House Civility Caucus for the past two terms. She has served the communities of New Brighton, Columbia Heights, and St. Anthony. Outside of her work at the Capitol, Feist is an immigration attorney.

(Duluth, MN) — A fire at a Duluth rail facility and ore docks Sunday caused an estimated 60,000 dollars in damage. Firefighters responded around noon, finding a maintenance shed at C-N fully engulfed. Crews from multiple stations worked with C-N staff to stretch hose lines and draft water from the bay. No injuries were reported, and no other structures caught fire. The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause.
