(Rochester, MN) — An eight-year-old girl has died from injuries suffered in a crash last Wednesday in Rochester. A CaringBridge site set up on behalf of the girl’s family states Kambrynn Ronningen succumbed to her critical injuries and that her organs will be donated. State Patrol responded to the crash around 6 p.m., where two SUVs heading opposite directions collided on icy roads. Kambrynn’s mother, 43-year-old Collen Ronningen of Rochester, and 12-year-old sister were brought to St. Marys with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver, 36-year-old Kevin Douanmychit of Rochester, suffered life-threatening injuries. His condition is unknown.

(Rochester, MN) — The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim of Thursday’s fatal shooting in Rochester. 28-year-old Dahir Dahir was pronounced dead at the scene after police responded to a shooting report around 6:50 p.m. Police continue to search for a suspect(s).

(St. Paul, MN) — A man is dead, and another man and two young children are unharmed after a drive-by shooting in St. Paul Friday. Police responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. near Rondo Community Library. The two men and two children were in a vehicle when a car drove up, fired shots, and fled. One of the men died at the scene. No arrests have been made.

(Alexandria, MN) — A Douglas County sheriff’s deputy and an 18-year-old from Albany are hospitalized with serious injuries suffered in a crash Sunday night on Interstate 94. The sheriff’s office says the deputy was assisting the State Patrol with another accident on I-94 when a vehicle rear-ended his squad car at interstate speeds. The patrol vehicle had its emergency lights activated, and the deputy was inside buckled up. The 23-year-old deputy and 18-year-old driver of the second vehicle were taken to an Alexandria hospital with serious injuries.

(Mankato, MN) — Mankato officials are searching for four suspects involved in an armed robbery on Saturday. The city’s press release says Public Safety officers responded to the scene around 1:42 a.m. The suspects, three men and one woman, stopped their vehicle in front of three men, demanded their money while brandishing handguns, then fled. The suspects are all described as black and between 16 and 20 years old. The male suspects were thin and 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall. The woman was thin and around 5 feet tall. Anyone with information is asked to call local authorities.

(Byron, MN) — A Byron home sustained an estimated $100,000 in damage after a fire this morning. Olmsted County deputies and first responders got to the scene around 2 a.m. The homeowner reported smoke and flames from the home’s wall near a wood-burning stove. No people or animals were injured.
