(Willmar, MN) — The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man killed in a skid loader accident Sunday afternoon in New London.
Authorities say 67-year-old Randall Lipinski died after becoming trapped by the skid loader around just before three Sunday afternoon. No additional details have been released.

(Plymouth, MN) — A suspect is hospitalized in stable condition after being shot by a police officer early this morning (Tues) in Plymouth. Authorities were called to a domestic disturbance, and a man was knocking on a window. Investigators say an officer confronted the man in the parking lot, and he was armed with a handgun. The officer shot the suspect and helped treat him at the scene. He was taken to North Memorial Hospital. No one else was injured. The Minnesota B-C-A is investigating the shooting.

(St. Paul, MN) — Thirty-six-year-old Abdirashid Bixi Dool is charged with wire fraud and money laundering in the Feeding Our Future scandal. Prosecutors say he claimed to serve 6,000 meals a day in Pelican Rapids, more than twice the town’s population, receiving $1.1 million in federal funds for personal use. He also listed a second site in Moorhead. In 2023, 41-year-old Kawsar Jama of Eagan faced similar charges after allegedly collecting $3.7 million for fake meal claims in Pelican Rapids, Burnsville, and Minneapolis. Republican Senator Jordan Rasmusson of Fergus Falls called the fraud “obvious” and blasted state agencies for failing to catch it.

(Dodge Center, MN) — Authorities in southeastern Minnesota are investigating a crash between Dodge Center and Kasson (CASS’-in) that left a Rochester woman dead. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the preliminary investigation shows a car driven by a Rochester woman collided with a pickup truck Monday afternoon on a county road. The victim died at the scene and hasn’t been identified. Two adults and a child were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
