>>Election Day 2024: Key Federal Races in MN
(Undated) – Most polls put Kamala Harris with a single-digit lead over Donald Trump in Minnesota this Election Day, but nationally the race for president is too close to call. Analysts say Democratic U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will likely defeat Republican challenger Royce White, possibly by double-digits. It’s expected Republicans will retain their U-S House seats in the 1st (southern MN), 6th (NW metro and central MN), 7th (western MN), and 8th (NE and N central MN) congressional districts and Democrats will almost certainly hold onto the 4th (St. Paul and suburbs) and 5th (Mpls and near suburbs) districts in the central metro. In the 3rd (west metro), where Congressman Dean Phillips is not running after an unsuccessful presidential bid, Democratic state Senator Kelly Morrison is up against Republican Tad Jude, a former state lawmaker, county commissioner, and judge. National Republicans put the 2nd Congressional District (south metro and part of south-central MN) as their best chance to flip in Minnesota, with Joe Tierab challenging incumbent Democrat Angie Craig. Polls put Craig ahead in the single digits.

Too many people will not do anything but complain all the time.” Connie feels the same way and explains she waits until election day to cast her ballot because “it’s my duty and I care about the issues. I want my voice to be heard.” Others look at today as a day they will never take lightly, stating, “It’s my right to vote, and I’m thankful God has given us a country where we can vote.” Laura is not a believer in absentee or early voting and thinks everyone should cast their ballot on one day and one day only. She says, “Tradition and I really don’t believe in the mail in voting. I think everyone should have to vote on one day.”
