(Hudson, WI) — A motorcyclist from Minnesota is dead after a crash Sunday morning near Hudson in northwest Wisconsin. The State Patrol says a cycle driven by a 19-year-old man from St. Michael collided with a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 94 in St. Croix County. Troopers say the motorcyclist died at the scene. No names have been released.

The Harris-Walz campaign says the Democratic vice presidential candidate is speaking at a reception early this afternoon in Dallas. Walz will attend an event later today in Reno, Nevada, before heading to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas this evening (Mon 6 pm). Governor Walz is scheduled to visit Michigan on Thursday and Friday, central Wisconsin on Friday afternoon, and the Twin Ports of Duluth-Superior on Saturday.

(Two Rivers, WI) — Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputies in Wisconsin are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains Saturday. The remains are located near where 3-year-old Elijah Vue went missing in February. Deputies have not confirmed if the remains are related to the case and say identifying the remains will take a while. Vue was reported missing on February 20th by his mother’s boyfriend, Jesse Vang. Vang and Vue’s mother, Katrina Baur, are in custody on child neglect charges.

>>Winona-Rochester Diocese Opens New Pastoral Center

(Rochester, MN) — The Diocese of Winona-Rochester has finished a nearly two-year project to construct a new pastoral center in Rochester. A ceremony was held Sunday to bless and open the $8 million building on Jeremiah Lane. The building includes office space for diocesan leadership, Catholic Charities, and diocese-operated schools. The diocese’s leaders stated that the new building is more centrally located and easier to access compared to its previous location in Winona.

(Undated) — Minnesota’s Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has announced its new name, Minnesota Frost. The new PWHL website says the name “celebrates hockey’s fierceness and beauty, a timeless Minnesota tradition, bridging generations.” The PWHL 2024-25 preseason begins in November.
