Investigators released information Wednesday that a woman from Milwaukee Wisconsin, 30-year-old Melody Gray, is the person a state trooper shot on I-94 east of Moorhead Monday morning. Authorities say a vehicle that turned out to be stolen in Wisconsin had spun out and when the trooper tried to handcuff a male occupant also from Milwaukee, Gray exited the vehicle and pointed a handgun at the trooper. He shot her in the arm and she fled into a field where she collapsed and was apprehended. Both Gray and the male suspect, 29-year-old Domonique Crayton, have outstanding warrants in Milwaukee for kidnapping and other felony charges.
