Minneapolis shoot and kill a man

December 31, 2020 By Tasha Redel

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a shooting by Minneapolis police that left a man dead. Investigators say officers exchanged gunfire with a felony suspect on Cedar Avenue Wednesday night during a traffic stop. The alleged suspect was struck and died at the scene in south Minneapolis. A woman in the passenger seat wasn’t hurt. Police Chief Medaria Arradondo says the officers’ body cameras were activated and they plan to release the footage today (Thursday). There were some protesters at the scene last night. The medical examiner will identify the man shot and later determine the official cause of death.
