Although USDA lowered its crop production estimates for Minnesota this week, the state still shattered yield records in 2015. In its follow-up to the November 1st report USDA reduced corn production by one-percent to 1.43 billion bushels on a yield of 188 bushels per acre. 11 bushels higher than the previous record set in 2010. Soybean production fell slightly to 378-million and the yield estimate was left unchanged from the November report at 50 bushels per acre five more than the old record also set in 2010.
