A Minnesota astronaut is back on Earth after nearly a year aboard the International Space Station. Mark Vande Hei landed in Kazakhstan yesterday which was Thursday morning in Eastern Europe. His 355-day space station mission is a new record. Vande Hei spent his journey with two Russian cosmonauts. Fifty-five-year-old Vande Hei is a 1985 graduate of Benidle St. Margaret’s High School in St. Louis Park and St. John’s University. His next stop is NASA headquarters in Houston.
