Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson is suing Comcast, alleging the communications giant overcharged customers for cable T-V, billed for equipment and services that customers didn’t order, and didn’t deliver pre-paid VISA cards as promised in promotions. Swanson says they’re asking for three things: “We want people to get their money back. Injunctive relief, meaning get them [Comcast] to change their practices so we don’t have a whole other room full of people tomorrow who the same thing has happened to, and then just civil penalties as well.”
Comcast responds the facts do not support Swanson’s allegations, and her office “raised complaints about matters that date back several years and have largely ignored our efforts to work together to address them.”
