Minnesota Democrats say Tuesday’s election results show they’re well-positioned for victory a year from now in the presidential election, but top Republicans disagree. D-F-L Party Chairman Ken Martin says their candidates by and large won their races across Minnesota, and Democrats’ message is resonating with voters. State Republican Party Chairman Keith Downey responds it’s no surprise Democrats won the Duluth mayor’s race and a state House seat in an inner-ring Minneapolis suburb. Downey says, “Nationally you’d look at it and say, it was another strong rebuke of President Obama and effectively Hillary Clinton.”
