Minnesota’s rate of job growth continues to lag behind the national average, even though latest numbers show the state adding over seven thousand jobs in November. State jobs analyst Steve Hine notes employment growth continues to match the rate of growth in Minnesota’s labor force. Hine says that’s a sign that future job gains in Minnesota will likely be constrained by a slowing rate of growth in the number of available workers. Over the past year Minnesota added 32-thousand jobs, a 1.1 percent increase compared to the national rate of 1.9 percent.
