Minnesota law enforcement agencies are committed to ending sex trafficking in our state. On Wednesday officials announced Minnesota was linked to a large, international sex trafficking scheme based out of Thailand. Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart was part of the multi-agency investigation:
Stuart says “for those who choose to make a profit, to make a living on selling the lives of another human being like a can of pickles off a shelf — it’s not acceptable and it’s not going to happen on our watch.”
So far 17 people have been charged in the trafficking scheme, four are from Minnesota.
