Minnesota music legend Bobby Vee died this morning at the age of 73 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Ron Peluso, is the artistic director at the History Theater of Minnesota which produced a musical about Vee which runs through Sunday called “Teen Idol.”
The musical was written with input from Vee’s sons and also honors their mother, Karen Velline, who died last year after 51 years of marriage:
The musical has been running for the past month in St. Paul which Peluso says is a tribute to Vee’s continuing popularity.
