Minnesota families will spend around 850-dollars this holiday shopping season. The annual University of St. Thomas holiday spending survey also found that more people will be doing their shopping on-line. In 2002 on-line sales accounted for 7.3 percent of total spending, today that’s climbed to 38.5 percent. St. Thomas Marketing Professor Dave Brennan says Minnesotans top five on-line shopping sites are — Amazon, Target, Barnes and Noble, eBay and Best Buy.
