The Minnesota State Patrol is looking for men and women who are exploring a career change and want to get into law enforcement. Colonel Matt Langer says starting Monday, they begin accepting on-line applications. He says to qualify, all you need is a two or four-year degree and it *doesn’t* have to be in the law enforcement field…
“We’re looking for you whether you work in the healthcare field, teaching, business, financial industry you name it. If you have a two or four- year degree than you’re qualified to apply under this program. And we would love to take a look at you.”
Langer says previous candidates included a former Cold Stone Creamery owner, a banker and former grocery store manager. He says there is always a need for troopers in Minnesota…
“Our agency has about 600 troopers so with retirement and just normal succession we are always in a state of hiring troopers. So this is yet another opportunity for people to apply and get hired by the State Patrol.”
An on-line application can be found at Minnesota State Patrol.
