Minnesota Twins announce abbreviated 60-game 2020 schedule

July 6, 2020 By Bill Werner

The Minnesota Twins open their abbreviated 2020 schedule with a night game July 24th in Chicago against the White Sox. The Twins’ home opener is July 28th against Saint Louis at Target Field, part of an eight-game homestand that follows with matchups against Cleveland and Pittsburg. All 60 games in the shortened schedule will be broadcast. The Twins have a strictly regional schedule this year, with 40 games against American League Central Division rivals and 20 interleague contests versus National League Central Division teams. The Twins’ 2020 season begins without fans at Target Field, as mandated by the governor and aligned with guidance from the state Health Department and C-D-C.
