Minnesota Vikings ink top pick Treadwell

May 13, 2016 By Minnesota News Network

Minnesota Vikings first-round draft pick wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has signed his rookie contract.

Treadwell signed on Thursday, making sure the Vikings have every draft choice in this year’s class under contract. Signing is a mere formality with salaries already slotted for each spot.

The Vikings chose Treadwell with the 23rd pick in the first round. The receiver from Mississippi is expected to come in and challenge for significant playing time as a rookie. Treadwell led the Southeastern Conference in yards receiving and touchdown receptions last season.

Treadwell and the seven other Vikings draft picks participated in a rookie minicamp last weekend.
