Over 600 Minnesotans have been approved for nearly two-and-a-half million dollars in FEMA funding after heavy rainstorms caused extensive damage last September in several counties across the state. And the Small Business Administration also approved more than $3.3 million dollars in low-interest loans for those who did not receive FEMA funding. September’s storms ultimately resulted in around $8.3 million in damage to public infrastructure. In November, President Obama approved a request from Governor Dayton for a Major Disaster Declaration for counties impacted by the storms.
