The Minnesota Lynx begin the 2016 WNBA Finals against the Los Angeles Sparks with Game One on Sunday afternoon at the Target Center at 2 P-M. Lynx star Lindsay Whalen grew up in Hutchinson and was a star basketball player there, before becoming a statewide folk hero with the Golden Gopher program, helping Minnesota reach the 2004 NCAA Final Four. She has now been a part of three WNBA title-winning teams with the Lynx in her homestate and is hoping to make it back-to-back championships in 2016. She also has won two Olympic Gold Medals with Team USA, including a gold in Rio this past summer.
