(Houston, TX) — Jose Miranda hit a homer in the sixth and broke a 3-3 tie with an R-B-I double in the eighth to help the Twins slip past the Astros 4-3 on Sunday. Trevor Larnach also homered for Minnesota as the Twins took two of three on the weekend series. Steven Okert got his second win of the season and Jhoan Duran notched his 10th save. The Twins have won nine of the last 12 and will head to New York to face the Yankees starting on Tuesday. They’ll be in New York for three followed by three straight in Pittsburgh.
