The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a former Moorhead police detective, now a security officer at the federal courthouse in Fargo, in connection with vandalism at the home of his former supervisor. Police obtained surveillance video showing the suspect purchasing a slingshot and ammunition at a Walmart in Dilworth. Vandalism included a shattered glass door, damaged siding and the use of grass killer. According to court documents the victim, a Moorhead police lieutenant, told investigators it’s possible the ex-officer had a grudge against him. The suspect has not been charged.
