Minnesota Republicans bucked the other Super Tuesday states last night, giving Marco Rubio a win over Ted Cruz, with Donald Trump coming in third.
Rubio Minnesota director Jeff Johnson says a win was “just crucial” for the campaign and Rubio will remain strong in the race.
But Cruz Minnesota spokesman Brandon Lerch points to his candidate winning big numbers of delegates through the entire nation. Lerch says, “With the contribution of our Minnesota delegates for Senator Cruz, this is a two-man race. This is going to be Trump versus Cruz going forward, and the math doesn’t add up for any of the other candidates after this.”
