Minnesota’s congressional representatives are sending well wishes to those impacted by this morning’s shooting in Virginia. Tom Emmer tweeted this morning he’s sending “sincere prayers” to his friend Steve Scalise. House Majority Whip Scalise is among the people hit by a gunman who’s believed to have fired dozens of shots at the Republican congressional baseball practice. Early reports say anywhere from 50 to 80 shots were fired. Congressman Rick Nolan calls the shooting a “vicious, cowardly attack.” Senator Al Franken says he’s “horrified” by the shooting. Representative Tim Walz is thanking the Capitol Police for their “heroism and service” during the incident. The annual Congressional Baseball Game is scheduled for tomorrow.
